Age 56

Of Athens, TN

Passed away Monday December 22, 2014,

At the home of his brother.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Charles Richard and Eula Mae Crower Fritts, and was preceded in death by sisters Susan Bookout and Linda Williams, Brother; Sherman Fritts and Niece Stacy Bookout.

Survivors include:

A daughter: Virginia Perry Fritts of Calhoun

Brothers and sisters in law:

William Douglas and Patricia Fritts of Riceville

Robert Tracy and Donna Fritts of Athens

James Benny Ray and Connie Fritts of Athens

Scotty Allen and Amanda Fritts of Athens

A nephew who was like a brother: Christopher Jerry Broome of Athens.

Several Nieces and Nephews

Funeral services will be 1pm Tuesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Brother Johnny Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Fritts, Jamie Crabtree, Johnny Fritts, Kurt Fritts, Matthew Venatta, and Chris Crabtree

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 to 1 at the funeral home.

Mildred Rubylee “Dinkle” Flowers Clayton

Mildred Rubylee “Dinkle” Flowers Clayton, age 83, of Athens,

went home to be with the Lord at her residence on Tuesday, December 23, 2014.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Arrie Grissom Flowers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ford Clayton, a son, David Allen Clayton, granddaughter, Vicki “Sissy” Clowers , two sisters, Kathrine Thrasher and Carrie Lee Jackson and a brother, William “Boy” Flowers.

She was associated with Tennessee Wesleyan College with 26 years of service. Mildred was a member of West End Baptist Church.

Survivors include:

One daughter, Barbara “Bobbie” Clayton Everett of Athens

Two sons and daughters-in-law:

Jackie and Glenda Clayton of Athens

Rick and Cindy Clayton of Athens’

Six grandchildren:

Jeff Franklin, Keith Clayton Sr., Kimberly Watson, Andrew Clayton, Jordan Clayton, Jacob Clayton, and Brandon Heath Clayton.

Two great-grandchildren:

Keith Clayton, Jr. and Weston Clayton

Longtime special friends:

The family would like to say a special thanks to all of Mildred’s friends at the McMinn Senior Citizens Center and to the nurses at Caris Hospice for their compassionate care.

Funeral services will be 8pm Friday at Ziegler Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating.

Burial will be 11am Saturday in McMinn Memory Gardens with grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday at Ziegler Funeral Home.

Ronald Dale Fisher, Age 63, Of Etowah, TN, Passed away Monday December 22, 2014,

At McMinn Memorial Nursing home.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Carl Otis and Mary Ivalee Cable Fisher, and was preceded in death by a brother Cecil Scott Fisher. He had attended Miracle Deliverance Tabernacle.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with Pastor Anthony Wynn officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Friday from noon to 2 pm at the funeral home.
