John F. Edmonson, Age 66, Of Athens, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016, At Parkwest Medical Center.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Luther and Gladys Coleman Edmonson, and was preceded in death by a granddaughter Alyssa Smith and brothers; Calvin Edmonson and David Edmonson. He owned and operated the Riceville Market in the middle 80’s and late 90’s, was a retired truck driver with Star Transportation, and attended Watson’s Chapel in Madisonville.

Survivors include: Two Sons;

Danny Edmonson of Athens

Johnny “Boober” and Samantha Edmonson of Chattanooga

A Daughter; Barbara Summers of Athens

Sister and Brother in law; Wanda and Bobby Roberts of Niota

Brother and sister in law; Lester and Robin Edmonson of Athens

Five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Benji Long, Josh Edmonson, Cody Smith, Ben Summers, Jordan Edmonson, and Johnny Edmonson.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Ziegler Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of John F. Edmonson.

Roseanna Coleman

Roseanna Coleman, age 55, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, March 23, 2016.

She was a lifelong resident of Athens and was preceded in death by her father Johnny Jerome Coleman on May 05, 2015.

Roseanna attended The Tennessee School for the Deaf and was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She loved art and enjoyed drawing and photography

A lifelong friend,  Helen Buckner of Athens

Several friends from the deaf community

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday at Ziegler Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Latham officiating.

Burial will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends 12 noon until 2:00 pm Friday prior to the service at Ziegler Funeral Home.
