At NHC Healthcare of Athens

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was the son of the late Owen and Lizzie Rue Coleman and was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Marie Coleman Torbett; brothers, Elmer, Edward, and Clifford Coleman. He was a former employee of Athens Stove Works and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one son,

   Michael “Mike” Coleman of Athens

Three brothers and sisters-in-law,

   Melvin and Sharon Coleman of Athens

   Donald and May Coleman of Decatur

   David and Donna Coleman of Riceville

Two sisters and brothers-in-law,

   Dollie and Rodney Shell of Decatur

   Brenda and Ray Cooper of Sweetwater

Two sisters-in-law,

   Grace Coleman of Athens

   Cecil Coleman of Chattanooga

Special friends and caretakers of NHC Healthcare of Athens

Funeral services will be 2 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Dalton officiating. Burial will be in Valley Road Cemetery

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends 12-2 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
