Of Sweetwater

Passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017  

At Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens.

A native of Freeport, Texas, he spent most of his life in Texas and most recently in Sweetwater. He was the son of the late David Thomas George Sr. and Helen Humphris George and was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Sharon Buckley George. He was an electrician with IBEW Local #716 in Houston, TX. and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include his wife,

   Claudia Hunter of Sweetwater

One daughter and son-in-law,

   April and Kai Yorke of Avon, OH.

Three sons and two daughters-in-law,

   Thomas and Samantha George

   Kenneth and Carrie George of Hilliard, OH.

   Charles George of Charleston, SC.

Four granddaughters and 4 grandsons

One sister and brother-in-law,

    Ruth Ann and Robert Redden of Abilene, TX.

A Memorial service will be 6 pm Friday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints with Brother Roger Ward officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in David's name to the boys scouts, Great Smokey Council District, 1333 Wisegarger Rd. Knoxville, TN. 37909.
