Bobby Lee Queen, Sr.

Bobby Lee Queen, Sr., age 77, lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024.

He is preceded by his parents: Albert “Bob” and Helen Jack Queen, sisters: Carolyn “Deanie” McKinney and Carrie Hashe, brother: Calvin Queen, and two great-grandchildren.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 59 years: Carolyn Carringer Queen, daughter: Tammie Montgomery (Buzz), son: Bobby Queen, Jr., four grandchildren: Ashley Tipton, Karen Henry, Ryder Queen, and Josh Withrow (Hobie), ten great-grandchildren, sisters: Judy Herd (“Duck”), and Joanne Bennett, several nieces and nephews, and two sisters-in-law: Betty Hooper (Bob) and Joyce Roach (Arnold).  

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Ziegler Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Tellico Avenue Baptist Church Cemetery.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
