Passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017  

At Etowah Healthcare Center in Etowah

A native of Kingston and longtime resident of McMinn County, he was the son of the late Cal and Nellie Monroe Cantrell and was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Goins Cantrell; two sons, David Lee Cantrell Sr. and Dale Cantrell. He was a member of Valley Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law,

   Karen and Dennis Hughes of Athens

   Reta and Jim Esterbrook of Casper, WY.

Four grandsons,

   David Cantrell Jr. and wife, Paige

   Jason Cantrell and wife, Jennifer

   William Sherlin and wife, Jodie

   Grant Willis and wife, Ashley

Three granddaughters,

   Christy Cantrell Wilson and husband, Nick

   Carrie Sherlin Olsen

   Tonya Cantrell

17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Saturday in Clearwater Cemetery with Rev. Ronald Cantrell officiating.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends 12- 2 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
