DANNY DEAN FREEMAN SR.

Danny Dean Freeman Sr., ge 63, of Athens, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville

A native of Oliver Springs and longtime resident of McMinn County, he was the son of the late Bill C. and Myrtle Dunlap Freeman and was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Wilma Rose Hawn Freeman. He retired from Thomas & Betts after 35 years and was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law,

   Marsha and Robert Sliker of Maryville

   Victoria and Greg Jenkins of Niota

Two sons and daughters-in-law,

   Danny Jr. and Kara Freeman of Riceville

   David and Liz Freeman of Riceville

Six grandchildren, Airman Joshua Freeman, Lexi Campbell and husband, Airman Andrew Campbell, Andrew Sliker, Brianna, Ember, and Zoe Freeman.

   Gary Thomason of Harriman

   Bill Freeman of Harriman

Funeral services will be 4 pm Sunday at Hilltop Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Elliott officiating.  Burial will follow in Hilltop Baptist Church Cemetery with

family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from2-4 pm Sunday at Hilltop Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hilltop Baptist Church, 116 County Road 86, Riceville, TN. 37370.
