Darleen Essie Peressini Otterstetter, 75, formerly of The Villages, FL., and New Orleans, LA, passed away at the home of her daughter on Thursday, January 17, 2019, after a long battle with Alzheimers.
Born in Princeton, British Columbia, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Robert Dennis Otterstetter, her parents, Addie and Hugo Peressini, and her in-laws, Robert and Laverne Otterstetter. She was retired from the Internal Revenue Service. She was an avid crafter, great cook, bowler, bingo and bunko player.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Lori and Chuck Wilson, Catherine and Samuel Walker and Robert and Margo Otterstetter; grandchildren and their spouses, including Trey and Beth Wagner, Michael Wagner, Tiffany and Shaun York, Brandon Grosz, Christopher and Sarah Walker, Jennifer and John Dunlap, Joshua Walker, Kelli Wilson, Addie Otterstetter, Anna Otterstetter, Robby Otterstetter, Kristina Wilson and Megan Otterstetter; and great-grandchldlren, including Addisyn Wagner, Tyce Wagner, Zayd Wagner, Ezryi Wagner, Evelyn Dunlap, Avery Dunlap, and Nova York.
Darleen will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Her loving and giving nature inspired others to do their best and to help others. She was a fierce defender and supporter of her family and a rock that could be depended on at all times. She leaves us with heavy hearts and many tears, but as better people for having her in our lives.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, send donations to American Legion Post 68 of Athens for their Flag and Veteran Memorial Fund.
