A native of Athens and longtime resident of Cleveland, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, David Smith; paternal grandfather, Clyde Duggan Borden; great grandfather, Hoyt Ware; great uncle, Terry Ware; cousins, Cameron Sluter and Chaze Miller. He was employed with AAlberts Finishing.

Survivors include his mother and step father,

   Lynn and Billy Oldenkott of Cleveland

His father, Troy Lee Borden of Englewood

One sister and brother-in-law,

   Brandi and Brent Garringer of Calhoun

Grandmother, Mommie Doris Smith of Niota

Paternal grandmother, Pauline Ferlito of Madisonville

Great grandmother, Rachel Ware of Riceville

Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
