EDGAR HOWARD

Edgar Howard,age 84, of Athens, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019, at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was the son of the late Tom Howard and Elizabeth Duckworth Howard. Edgar was preceded in death by seven brothers, Thomas, J.T., J.E., Edward, Richard, Junior and Clifford Howard; two sisters, Bertie Howard and Edith Landreth.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. Edgar was a former employee of AG Central Farmers’ Cooperative in Loudon and McMinn County, retiring after 30 years as a service technician and later worked at NAPA and Main One Auto Parts.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years,

   Ana Rinehart Howard of Athens

One daughter,

   Deborah Armstrong of Athens

One grandson,

   Jeffrey Howard and fiancé, Sonya Farris of Cleveland

Two great grandchildren, Cainan Howard and Chloe Howard

Burial will be 11 am Wednesday in Oak Grove Cemetery.
