Lynn was a loving, caring, and kind man who never met a stranger and loved to make people laugh. He was well liked and well known by all the local used car dealerships as a detailer. His favorite hobbies were sitting with his daddy and buddies talking and whittling on cedar. He loved coon and bear hunting in his younger years with his daddy. He loved taking care of animals, especially raising chickens. Most of all he loved raising his boys Bubba and Tyler, whom returned their love for him daily.
He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and was preceded in death by his mother, Vickie Dockins Fernett of Englewood, his grandparents, Roy and Iris Green of Etowah and Harry and Lorene Dockins of Englewood.
Survivors include his significant other, Gail Martin Green of Athens
Sons, Harold “Bubba” Lynn Green Jr. and Scott Tyler Green all of Athens
His father, David Green and special friend, Evelyn Valentine of Niota
Sisters, Heather Burns of Athens, Nina Green of Atlanta, GA., Hailey Green of Decatur.
Also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins whom loved him dearly. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Thursday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Green, Bubba Green, Travis “Poo” Carpenter, Charles David Martin, Spencer Underdown, and Coy Lankford.
The family will receive friends from 10 am to 12 noon Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to Ziegler Funeral Home for final expenses.
