Jimmy D. McNeely

Jimmy D. McNeely, age 81, of Decatur, died Saturday evening, Dec. 02 ,2017,  at his home.

A native and longtime resident of Decatur, he was a son of the late Ernest and Francis Hicks McNeely.

Also preceded him in death are three daughters, Donna Lorene McNeely, Sandy Austin and Arlene Jewell, his son, Jimmy Dean McNeely and a half-brother, Weaver McKenzie.

Jimmy was a retired carpenter and was formerly associated with TVA.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jeanette Shelton McNeely of Decatur

A daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and B.T. Bowman of Decatur

4 grandchildren, Maggie Austin, Isaiah Austin, Austin Jewell and Ally Bowman

I sister, Geneva Jenkins of Riceville and 2 brothers and sisters-in-law,

Clyde and Iris McNeely of Calhoun and Carl and JoAnn McNeely of Riceville

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, Dec. 06, 2017, at Ziegler Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Beta Cemetery in Decatur.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm, prior to the service at Ziegler Funeral Home.
