Condolence to the Family of Mary Lee Hicks,
It is obvious from the many kind expressions that Mrs. Hicks will be sadly missed. I find comfort in knowing death was not God’s purpose for mankind and his purpose has not changed.
God’s word is clear, “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces”. (Isaiah 25:8). It is comforting to know that the grief and sorrow we experience is temporary. (Revelation 21:4). Because of Jehovah God’s purpose and great love for mankind, the restoration of life is guaranteed!
As you know, Jesus not only spoke of the coming resurrection (John 5:21, 28, 29), he himself was resurrected by his Father and performed many miracles including resurrections. All such miraculous events took place on earth giving us a precious glimpse of what is to come! (Acts 24:15)
As you cherish the many fond memories of Mrs. Hicks, may Jehovah God continue to bless your family during this difficult time and in the days ahead......

Joyce, we are so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. We are thinking of you in these difficult times.. I have such fond memories of her when we were young and you were living on North Washington. She was always cooking and baking and the house smelled wonderful when you walked in the door. She was always so sweet to me. With heartfelt condolences.
