Mary Helen Hutsell Rue, age 74, of Athens, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018, at her residence.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Herbert and Cora Etta McCormack Hutsell and was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Eugene Rue; two brothers, Charles Henry Hutsell and Harold Dean Hutsell; one sister, Rose Ann Lee Hutsell Witt. She was a former employee of Athens Hosiery Mill and Life Care Center of Athens. She was a member of Mount Vernon Tabernacle.

Pam’s children whom Mary considered her grandchildren, RandaGrace Hamilton, William Hamilton, and CathLynn Hamilton and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be 7 pm Friday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Denton officiating. Burial will be 11 am Saturday in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Randy Hamilton, William Long, Terry Long, Tim Witt, Bailey Witt, and Nick Witt. Honorary pallbearers will be Pvt. Quinton Witt and Will Hamilton.
The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Friday at the funeral home.
