Passed away Monday morning, July 23, 2018
At her residence.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was the youngest child of the late Harl E. and Fannie Vincent Hennessee and was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, W. Hoyt Cate; two sisters, Ruby H. Harrison and Anna H. Norris; four brothers, Arthur, Arlen, Johnie and Billy Hennessee. She enjoyed working outdoors and gardening and was a longtime member of Eastanallee Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law,

Rhonda and Curtis Womack of Athens
Theda and Alan Dyke of Athens
One son and daughter-in-law,

Seven grandchildren: Julie and Brandon Ladd, Amanda and Tim Guzowski, Trevin and Brandy Parkinson, Jeffrey and Cameron Cate, Derek and Meredith Galyon.
Seven great grandchildren: Tucker, Scarlett, Paxton and Ezekiel Ladd, Khade and Zoey Parkinson, and Trey Guzowski

Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with Dr. John Powers officiating. Burial will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
