Of Athens

Passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019

At his residence.

A native of Danville, KY. and longtime resident of McMinn County, he was the son of the late John Henry and Genieve Leamon Kries and was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Kries; sister, Rebecca Libby. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include two sons,

Robby Kries of North Dakota

Shawn Kries of Lexington, KY.

Sister-in-law,

Eula Kries of Athens

Two nieces and a nephew: Renee McCutcheon, Joyce Kries and John Kries

Graveside services will be 10 am Sunday in McMinn Memory Gardens with John Kries officiating.

Pallbearers will be John Kries, Mac Blair, Robby Roberts, Thomas McCutcheon, Scott Kries.
