ROBERT "BOB" HARDING MILLER

Robert “Bob” H. Miller, age 98, of Calhoun, TN, Passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Morning Pointe of Athens.

A native of Meigs County and resident of Calhoun since 1980, he was the son of the late Robert and Ida Duckworth Miller and was preceded in death by his wife Doris Grist Miller; a son Paul D. Miller and two brothers and a sister.

Bob was retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant Major, having served during WW II, Korea, and Vietnam.  He worked for Sears in Atlanta GA, after retiring from the U.S. Army until 1980, when he retired and moved to McMinn County. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include daughter; Nancy K. Lillard of Calhoun.

And son; David and Howard Miller Ford of Calhoun.

Six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens with full military honors.

The family will receive friends from Noon to 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
