RUBY LEATRICE (EDMONSON) SHELL

Ruby Leatrice Edmonson Shell, age 89, of Athens, died Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Life Care of Athens.

She was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was a daughter of the late George and Bessie Stiles Edmonson. She was preceded in death by her husband D.C. “Penny” Shell, four sisters, Viola McAlister, Mary Morrow, Rosette McAlister and Margie Breeden, along with three brothers, John Edmonson, William Edmonson and Luke Edmonson.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law,
Danny and Juli Shell of Athens

Two grandsons, Charles Shell and Ian Shell

Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Monday, May 14, 2018, at Ziegler Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in the Pond Hill Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday, May 14, 2018, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Ziegler Funeral Home.
