SUE HARRIS Obituary
Sue Ruth Rawlings Harris, age 88, of Decatur, died early Friday morning, December 28, 2018, at her home.
A native of London, KY, she was a daughter of the late James Phillip Rawlings and Gertrude Porter Rawlings. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Winford S. Harris and daughter, Pamela Sue Rice. Ruth was a longtime resident of Saint Petersburg, FL before moving to McMinn County over 13 years ago.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be dearly missed.
Ruth is survived by two sons,
William S. Harris and wife, Linda, of Decatur and John P. “Phil” Harris of Decatur
Three grandchildren, Jennifer Harris, Claire Harris and James Harris, three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Evan and Aaron along with several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
At Ruth’s request, there will be no formal visitation or funeral services. The family will have a Celebration of Ruth’s life at a later date.
