At Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens
A native of Fort Campbell, KY., he had lived in Germany, and was a longtime resident of McMinn County. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary Frances McCarthy Finch; maternal grandmother, Hazel Daugherty and Mrs. Bobbie Thomas, whom was like a grandmother to him. Thomas served in the U.S. Army from 1999-2003 with the Transportation Corp serving in Fort Campbell and in Kuwait. He attended Calvary Baptist Church.
He loved all sports, coached and umpired baseball games and was an avid U.T. Vol Fan.

Funeral services will be 7 pm Sunday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeffery Haney officiating. Burial will be 11 am Monday in McMinn Memory Gardens with military honors.
Pallbearers will be Truston Bright, Trenton Bright, Rodney Bright, Randy Bright, Carson Pope, and Bryan Thomas.
The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
