Albert “Al” Jerome Jack, age 86, lifelong resident of Athens, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 20, 2023, at his residence. He proudly served in and retired from the United States Navy and retired from TVA as a safety officer.
Albert was a son of the late Paul and Mary Stansberry Jack. He is also preceded by a sister: Cecil “Dee Dee” Jack, brothers: Glen Jack, Hudy Jack, Gene Jack, stepdaughter: Kristy Zappia, and stepson: Mark Baker.
He is survived by loving wife: Roberta Burris Jack, daughter: Jennifer Jack Carlisle (Jason), of Pensacola, FL, son: Anthony “A.J.” Jack of Athens, grandchildren: Hudson Carlisle and Haley (Will) Holmes, great-grandchildren: Brantley Young and Maddie Holmes, and a nephew: Tommy (Marlene) Jack of Athens.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Ziegler Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home with Reverend Donnie Dalton officiating. Interment with full military honors will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The U.S. military will serve as pallbearers.
