Andrew "Buddy" Estel Lynn

Andrew Estel “Buddy” Lynn, age 78, a longtime resident of the Valley Road community, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.  He was the owner of Valley Road Body Shop.

A husband, a father, a papaw, an uncle, a friend, a neighbor, and a businessman. How did you know Buddy? A big man with few words? Big hands for hard work? Big hair with a bandana? Our man in black or our big teddy bear? During this time of reflection of how much we “loved” Buddy and how much he will be missed…a few words come to mind. Buddy was “always” kind, caring, and thoughtful! He was solid as a rock! An oak tree of life for so many of us! He “always” taught us right from wrong! He cared deeply for his family and his community. He had integrity and lived by old fashioned values. He worked hard and built his business, Valley Road Body Shop, with the same values he taught his family daily. Buddy loved spending time with family, old cars, and riding motorcycles. Buddy had many friends. He never met a stranger. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Andrew and Martha Miller Lynn, his wife: Glenda Bishop Lynn, sisters: Sue Lynn, Betty Jo Lynn, and Mary Louise Nunley, great-nephew: Heath Henley.

Buddy is survived by his sisters-in-law: Tammy Packett and Gail Guffey, a son: Tony Randall Lynn, granddaughters: Toni Ricker and Mahala Lynn, great-grandchildren: Andrew Ray Ricker and Weston Lee Ricker, nephews and nieces: Lisa and Dewey Henley, and Doug and Mary Price, great-nephew and great nieces: Matthew Henley, Jennifer Price, and Jaclyn Wattenbarger and his special friend: Mike Irons.

Visitation will be held at Ziegler Funeral Home from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Valley Road Cemetery.

Matt Henley, Brian Bishop, Dewey Henley, and Trent Perdue will serve as pallbearers.
