Arthur L. “Toby” Ghorley, age 70, a lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2025. He retired from Mayfield Dairy Farm after 33 years of service. Toby was a member of Victory Baptist Church, he loved Jesus, and being a Pop Pop.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother: Arthur and Anne Harris, his Mama Louise Millsaps, and his sisters: Donna Ghorley and Sarah Ann Millsaps.
Toby is survived by his loving wife of 53 years: Mary Ghorley, daughters: Jenny (Junior) Johnson, Misty Ghorley, his son: Alan Ghorley, a beloved grandson: Garett Ghorley, four sisters and three brothers, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Victory Baptist Church with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. Reverend Chad Hester will be officiating. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at McMinn Memory Gardens.
Brad Hester, Charles Farner, Nick Daniels, Thomas Brown, David Brown, and Wayne Huckabey will serve as pallbearers.
