Austin Howard Teague, age 87, native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024. He was employed for 31 years with S&K and NAPA Auto Parts in Athens. Austin was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Rosevelt “Rosie” and Berne Bell Jack Teague, his loving wife of 46 years: Betty Ruth Partain Teague, infant brother: Wayne Teague, sister: Iowa Womac, and brother: Shufford Teague.
Austin is survived by his special nieces and nephews: Sheri Riggs (Mark) and Kenny Partain (Tracey), brother-in-law: Lewis Partain, and his great-niece and great-nephews: Garrett Partain, Sydney Adkins, and Gavin Riggs.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Ziegler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with Brother Kenny Waldrop officiating. Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 1:00 PM at McMinn Memory Gardens.
Mike Shell, Garrett Partain, Gavin Riggs, Caleb Kirkland, Kenny Partain, and Mark Riggs will serve as pallbearers.
