Barbara Jean Stephens Wilson

Jean Wilson passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, at UT Hospital Comfort Care Unit.

She was born on 11/28/1935 in Athens, TN.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents: William Elden and Maggie Lee (Witt) Stephens, her husband of nearly 50 years: Billy Gene Wilson, and her brothers: Ivan Stephens and William (Billy) Stephens, Sr.

She is survived by her son: Wm. Kent Wilson and his wife Barbara of Athens, TN. Jean is also survived by her sister-in-law: Betty Stephens of Oak Ridge, TN and several nieces and nephews who were very special to her, and also a very good friend, Ann Wilkes.

She was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church and a former employee of Harris Jewelers in Athens, TN.

Visitation will be held at Ziegler Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Reverend Bill Vest officiating. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM at McMinn Memory Gardens.
