Betty Jo (Martin) McDaniel

Betty Jo Martin McDaniel, age 80, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Parkwest Medical Center.   

Betty is preceded by her parents: George Washington “Wash” Martin and Mary Ratledge Martin, husband: Charlie McDaniel, sisters: Mildred Givens and Dorothy Moses, and brothers: Junior Martin, Albert Martin, Ed Martin, Roy Martin, Jimmy Martin, Charles Martin, and Lewis Martin.

She is survived by a son: Jeff McDaniel (Kelly), grandchildren: Nicki McDaniel, Cheyenne McDaniel, Kili Duncan Roderick, and great granddaughter: Chloe Cranfield.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Ziegler Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jimmy Lewis officiating. Interment will be directly after the funeral service at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
