Betty Morrow Elliott

Betty Morrow Elliott, age 87, of Riceville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 12, 2023.

A native of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late J.M. and Nell Bryan Morrow. Betty retired

from Niota Hosiery after 40 years of service and was a longtime member of Hilltop Baptist Church in Riceville.

She is survived by a son, Jimmy Elliott and wife, Robbin

Granddaughter, whom was born on Betty’s birthday, Alisha Dawson and husband Ethan

Special neighbors Billy and Crystal Beshears, along with her church family at Hilltop Baptist Church.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Amedisys Home Health staff, Renee, Sonya and Shane.

Also to Amedisys Hospice Care, Shannon, Kay, Erin, Keisha and Jeremy. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday, May 16, at Hilltop Baptist Church in Riceville with Pastor Jimmy Elliott and Brother Fred Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery with Brother Albert Gentry officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Ethan Dawson, J.R. Colloms, Andy Myers, Zar Hicks, Rick Lankford and Wayne Oetting.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the funeral service at Hilltop Baptist Church located at 116 County Road 86, Riceville, TN 37370.
