Bill Howard Thomas

Bill Howard Thomas, age 88, of Ten Mile, passed away Monday, August 24, 2020, at Star Regional Medical Center.

A native of Rockwood, TN and longtime resident of Gallipolis, OH before moving to Ten Mile.  He was the son of the late Raymond and Onlee Fleemon Thomas.  He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Letner Thomas, daughter Brenda Thomas, sisters Glenda and Lois Buck and brother Jay Thomas. 

Bill served in the U.S. Army.  Ye was a boilermaker for 29 years and a member of the Boilermakers Union Local #105, Chilothea, OH.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #7189 in Decatur, TN.

Survivors include her daughter Betsy Thomas-Kizziah and husband Doug of Ten Mile;

sons Billy Ray Thomas and wife Donna of Vinton, OH, and Bob Howard Thomas and wife Tina of Athens;

grandchildren, Bill Thomas, Tamara Murphy, Kelli Finney, Brian Thomas and Barbara Haley;

several great grandchildren;

sisters Mammie Nealon and Loretta Lands;

several nieces and nephews.

There will be no formal visitation.  Graveside services with full military honors will be held on Thursday, August 27 at 1 pm in Roberts Cemetery.  Pastor Rusty Waller will be officiating.
