Billy Wayne Baxter

Billy Wayne Baxter, native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024. He was the owner of Bill Baxter Heat and Air. Billy was a member of Nonaburg House of Prayer.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Dolph and Martha Lou Hampton Baxter, loving wife of 54 years: Janie Louise Webb Baxter, a son: Billy Baxter, daughters: Brenda Baxter, Lois Baxter and Charlene Monroe, sister: Evelyn Bunch, brothers: James Baxter, Leroy Baxter, Don Baxter, and Eddie Baxter.   

Billy is survived by a daughter: Debra Baxter, a son: Terry Baxter, brother: Kenneth Baxter (Wanda), a sister: Thelma Robinson (Daniel), along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Ziegler Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Brother Wayne Lee officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Hampton Cemetery in Englewood.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
