Bobbie Jean Swafford

Bobbie Jean Swafford, age 87, a lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2025.  She was a member of Meadowfork Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Pearl R.  and Anna Eaton Swafford, siblings: Birtha Marie Everett, Gladys Swafford, Vestie Daiz, Elsie Swafford Palmer, Choley Swafford Townsend, Gertrude Swafford, Fred R. Swafford, Thelma Swafford Lane, and Shirley Kyle.

Bobbie is survived by her sons: Terry Swafford (Gretchen) of Athens and Steven Swafford of Niota, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM with a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Ziegler Funeral Home with Brother Glen Standridge officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowfork Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
