Bryson Lee Eaton

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bryson Lee Eaton, age 18 of Riceville, on Friday, January 10, 2025. A beloved son, brother, and friend, Bryson left this world far too soon, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of kindness and creativity.

Born on February 22, 2006, Bryson had a passion for reading and writing, finding joy and solace in the written word. He possessed a brilliant mind and an imaginative spirit, always eager to explore new stories and create his own. His dream was to inspire others through his writing, and his words will continue to echo in the hearts of those who loved him.

Bryson is survived by his siblings: Abby, Christopher, Delanie, Lucas Underdown, and Brenda Eaton, as well as Kyri Byrnes. He was the son of Martha Eaton and grandson of Linda Eaton of Etowah, also the beloved son of Tony and Melissa Underdown, grandson to Patsy Underdown, his closest friend: Atticus Fisher, his uncle and mentor: Jason Byrnes.

His gentle heart, quick wit, and unwavering love for his family will be forever remembered. His presence brought light into every room, and his laughter was a gift that will be deeply missed.

A celebration of Bryson’s life will be held on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, from 12:00-2:00 PM, with a 2:00 PM funeral at Ziegler Funeral Home in Athens. Richard Zuzart will be officiating. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor his memory and share the stories that made him so special. Interment will follow at South Liberty Cemetery.

Nick Vincent, Jr, Atticus Fisher, Daniel Underdown, Bryson Underdown, Lucas Underdown, and Jason Byrnes will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryson’s cousins: Levi Underdown, Caleb Underdown, Ethan Underdown, Micah Underdown, and Eli Underdown.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Feeding Avery’s Families, reflecting Bryson’s willingness to give back to others in need. 

Though he is gone, Bryson’s story will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, reminding us of all of the beauty, courage, and creativity he brought into our lives.
