Charlotte Elizabeth (Morrow) Miller

Charlotte Elizabeth Morrow Miller, age 91, of Athens, went home to be with her Savior on Saturday, January 21, 2023. She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and was a daughter of the late Roy and Julia Hicks Morrow. Charlotte was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard Thomas Miller; son Thomas Wendell Miller; sisters Elsie Leamon and Mallie Evans; brothers John Morrow, James Morrow, Lee Morrow and Bill Morrow.

Charlotte was the oldest active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She loved her family and also enjoyed quilting and working in her vegetable and flower gardens.

She is survived by two daughters;

Linda Failyer and husband Philip of Gainesville, GA

Sherry Covington and husband Wayne of Athens

Eight grandchildren;

Brooke Hammontree and wife Melanie

Julie Ellison

Jake Miller and wife Karmen

Beth Chappelle and husband Garry

Drew Swafford

Reid Fallyer and wife Leighanne

Alise Holt and husband Tony

Jessica Sewell and husband Grant

Fifteen  great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren

Along with several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews

Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Ziegler Funeral Home with Dr. Gerald Atkins and Pastor Travis Torbett officiating.  Interment will be 10:00 am Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Oak Grove Cemetery, located at 1212 County Road 100, Athens, TN 37303.

Family and friends will gather at Ziegler Funeral Home at 9:00 am to proceed to the cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 24, 2023, prior to the service at Ziegler Funeral Home from 4:00pm until 7:00 pm.

Servings as pallbearers will be Brook Hammontree, Garry Chappelle, Jake Miller, Drew Swafford, Reid Fallyer and Grant Ellison.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Vaughn, Mike Chrisman, Jody Watson and Michael Hodsden
