Christopher "Chris" Lynn Shelton

Christopher “Chris” Lynn Shelton, age 55 of Riceville, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens.

Chris was a native of Cleveland and lifelong resident of McMinn County.  He was the son of the late Harvey Shelton and Tommie Jane Wilcox Shelton.  He was also preceded by his wife Tina Ann Starry Shelton and sister Rose Shelton.

Chris was self-employed as a trader. 

Chris is survived by

Daughter Ashley Burke of Athens;

Step Daughter Cassandra Hooper (Brandon) of Athens;

Grandchildren Reichen Burke, Easton Shelton and Alyncia Liner;

Brother Harvey Shelton of Athens;

Half Sister Rena Robinson of Athens;

Girlfriend Joyce Grady of Riceville;

Best Friend Ronnie Faulkner of Riceville.

Funeral Services will be at 2 PM Thursday April 21, 2022 at Ziegler Funeral Home with Pastor Stacy Gennoe officiating.  Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Falkner, David Shelton, Dennis Hall, Christopher Morgan, William Morgan and James Morgan.

The family will receive friends from 12 PM – 2 PM on Thursday at Ziegler Funeral Home.
