DAVID WILLIAM BIDWELL

David William Bidwell, age 82, of Decatur, died Friday, October 11, 2024, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.

He was born in Decatur to the late Lewis William and Virginia Gertrude Meadows Bidwell. David was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church and retired from Meigs County Board of Education as a bus driver. He enjoyed fishing, but his greatest pleasure was working on his farm.

David is survived by three daughters,

Jennifer Bidwell and John Robbins

Jessica White and Joseph

Sheila Cash

Two grandchildren,

 Jada White and Shane Dyer

Sister,

Sarah Dennis and husband Bobby

Brother,

Elwood Bidwell and wife Ruby

Along with several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Ziegler Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Curtis and Rev. Garry King officiating.  Everyone will meet at Pisgah Cemetery at 11:00 am Wednesday for the committal service.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm prior to the service at Ziegler Funeral Home.
