DONALD "DON" RAY GODBEY

Donald Ray “Don” Godbey, age 67, of Athens, died Saturday, October 26, 2019, at the home of his daughter, Stephanie.

Don was born in Charleston, WV to the late Glen and Eadie Mooneyhan Godbey. He was a former resident of Chicago, Il, before moving to Athens over 40 years ago. Don was a mechanic and was formerly associated with Maxi – Muffler.  He was an avid photographer, an excellent bowler, and had a deep love for music.

Don is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Martin and Doug White, of Athens

Two grandchildren, Dylan Bogle and Katlyn Bogle

Two brothers, Mark Godbey and “Woody” Godbey

A Celebration of Don’s life will take place at 6:00 pm Thursday, October 31, 2019, at Ziegler Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm Thursday at Ziegler Funeral Home.
