Don Harold Crowden

Born in Madisonville, TN
Don was an active member of Tree of Life Ministries in Cleveland, TN. He found great joy in reading his Bible, being around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also an advanced ham operator “K04FH”.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Wash Crowden (Cindy) of Monroe County and Nina (Joe) White. His father, Horace Crowden, and his mother, Edith Best, his sister, Joanna Hughes, his wife of 28 years, Barbara Sue Chambers Crowden of Brimestone, TN and his beloved wife of 26 years, Linda Kay Crowden of Calhoun, TN. His grandson, Timothy Christopher Crowden, of Cleveland, TN and stepdaughter, Jennifer Knight of Calhoun, TN. Brother-in-law, Harold Chambers and Paul Chambers of Dalton, GA, and Bill Womac of Calhoun, TN and sister-in-law Marilyn Chambers of Dalton, GA.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his two sons, Timmy Allan Crowden (Sondra) of Cleveland, TN and Ricky Allen Crowden of Athens, TN. Granddaughter, Emily Crowden of Athens, TN. Great-grandchildren, Jayden and Mason Crowden of Cleveland, TN and Everleigh Cole of Athens, TN. Brothers, Bobby Crowden (Linda), of Athens, TN and Melvin Crowden (Penny) of Athens, TN and sister Lesa Bivens (Randy) of Cleveland, TN Stepchildren Regina Knight, Michele Knight, and Brian Welch. Brother-in-laws Clifford Chambers (Carol) of Rocky Face, GA and John Chambers (Brenda) of Dalton, GA and David Chambers (Teresa) of Mississippi. Sister-in-law, Ethel Hicks of Birchwood, TN and Janice Branim of Dalton, GA and Delores Womac of Calhoun, TN and Gay (Glenn) Torbett of Charleston, TN. He also has several nieces and nephews. Also, special friend Keela Crowden who he called “Granny”.
The family would also like to say a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice Care Team of Athens, TN.
A visitation will be held at Ziegler Funeral Home on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Pastor Mark Latham will be officiating. Interment will follow funeral services at Valley Road Cemetery.
Will Crowden, Shawn Walker, Randy Bivens, Mark Wilcox, James Truelove, and Lester Norwood will serve as pallbearers.
