Douglas Newton Duggan

Douglas “Doug” Newton Duggan, age 60, a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

Doug was a son of the late Newton Spencer and Lanetta White Duggan. He is also preceded by a sister: Cynthia Ann Hicks, and his mother-in-law: Octise Hammonds Price.

He is survived by his wife: Stephanie “Sis” Price Duggan of Riceville, sons: Stephen Douglas Duggan (fiancée, Maranda Cole) of Tellico Plains, and Lucky Wendell Duggan of Riceville, brother: Ricky Duggan (Sherry) of Athens, sisters: Karen Whitener of Riceville, and Debbie Wilson of Riceville, father-in-law: Wendell Price, along with several nieces and nephews. Doug worked in flooring installation and several years with the McMinn County Maintenance Department. He also served in the U.S. Army.

Family and friends will gather at South Liberty Cemetery in Athens for a graveside service at Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
