Edward “Ed” Tracey Reed, age 77, a native of Hamilton, Ohio and longtime resident of McMinn County, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. He was a member of the Athens BPOE 1927, an avid motorcycle rider, and was an honorary member of the
Widowmakers M.C. Ed was a truck driver for Sherwin Williams for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Acy Dennis and Opal Hundley Reed, his beloved wife: Marilyn “Patches” Head Reed, and his siblings: William Bill Reed, Irene Eudaly, David Reed, and Dottie Reed.
Ed is survived by his daughter: Tammy Hunter of Pikeville, KY, son: Dennis Edward Reed of Hamilton, OH, sisters: Joann Bales of Hamilton, OH, and Patricia Gilmore of Hamilton, OH, grandchildren: Gabriella Hunter, Michaela Hunter, Tyce Hunter, special friends: Vicki, Matt, Jaclyn, and Nicholas Botterbush of Athens, several nieces and nephews, along with many loving friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
