Evetta Moses Higdon, age 79, native and longtime resident of McMinn County, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024. She attended Athens Free Saints True Holiness Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Arlie Morgan Moses, daughter: Tanya Renee Hyde, ten sisters and two brothers.
Evetta is survived by her husband of 33 years: Walter Lee Higdon, sons: Michael Hyde (Laura) and Kimble Hyde, grandchildren: Matthew Hyde, Nathan Hyde, Zachary Hyde, and Natalie Hyde, several great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and stepchildren: Shane Higdon and Regina Brown.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Ziegler Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
