FREDERICA LENORE RAPER

Frederica Lenore Bowen Raper, age 51, of Athens, died Tuesday morning, March 19, 2019, at her residence. A native of Port Jervis, NY, she was a daughter of the late Roger and Marie Clark Bowen. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Terry Byers.

Lenore had served as store manager for Ingles Markets for over 25 years. She earned her Associates Degree in Theology and also studied Business Management. She was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church where she also served as a lay leader.

Lenore is survived by her husband of 11 years, Michael Raper

Two sons, Lee Roger Millsaps and wife, Latosha

and Joe Millsaps

A daughter, Rachael Ledford and husband, Matt

Two grandchildren, Hayden Ledford and Kayla Ledford

Three sisters,

Rogiena Bariletti and husband, Robert

Patty Walton and husband, Richard

Lori Jenson and husband, Levar

Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at Ziegler Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Vincent officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Chapel Cemetery with Michael Jordan, Tre Millsaps, Matt Ledford, Bob Bariletti, Richard Walton, Gary Millsaps and John Farner serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Thursday 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Home.
