Finner Franklin Bell, age 96, of Athens passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Life Care Center of Athens.
Finner was a native of Bogata, TX and resident of McMinn County for 27 years. He was a son of the late Finner Cottrell Bell and Jessie Lee Lawson Bell. He is also preceded by his loving wife of 53 years Kathy L. Faust Bell, brother Luther Eugene Bell, sister Willie Cottrell Cummings, nephew Gary Cummings, and nieces Lavonne Wilson and Gail Huff.
Finner was a member of Clearwater Baptist Church. He worked as Electronic Technician at the FAA for 28 years and serviced in the United States Navy during WWII.
Finner enjoyed gardening, yardwork, big band music and played the trumpet.
Finner is survived by
Son Dennis W. Bell (Jo) of Athens;
Nieces Anita Cowley, Becky Hunt (Dennis), Terry Bacon (Jerry), Jane Barnes, and Faye Reed.
Funeral Services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Ziegler Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Hutsell officiating. Interment will follow at Clearwater Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 10 AM – 11 AM Wednesday.
