Floyd “Moose” Adrian Jolley, age 87, a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024. He served in the United States Army and the United States Air Force. Floyd was a Vietnam veteran. He later worked for many years as an over-the-road truck driver. Floyd was a member of Valley View Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Martin L. “Shorty” Jolley and Nina Pearl Hall Jolley, two children: Karen June Jolley and Floyd Darrell Jolley, and a sister: Wanda Jolley Ledford Barnes.
Floyd is survived by his daughter: Sherri Scarbro (Mike) of Decatur, sons: Greg Jolley (Dina) of Loudon, TN, Don Burnett of Englewood, sisters: Phyliss Jones, Francis Morrison (Bill), Sue Carlton, Peggy Pack, Sandy Elliott, Martina Riden (Carl), and Norma Jean Woods, a brother: Max Jolley, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11:30-1:30 PM on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Ziegler Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM at McMinn Memory Gardens with military honors.
Floyd’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
