At his residence.
A native of and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, E.A. and Anna Hicks Mashburn; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Stella Purdy McKee; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Edna Ingram Lones. He was a member of Pond Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years,

Kristan Marie and Chris Umphrey of Athens
Three grandsons: Kolh Mashburn, Klay Mashburn and Beau Sliger

Two sisters and brothers-in-law,
Michelle and Matt Ricker of Athens
Sarah and Dustin Lingerfelt of Athens
Two nieces: Cady Fewell and Faith Vann
Two nephews: Phillip Shelton and Paul Ricker
Numerous special aunts and special friends
Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Travis Roberts and Rev. Jamie Lones officiating. Burial will follow in Pond Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Umphrey, Billy Sliger, Matt Ricker, Phillip Shelton, Paul Ricker, Shane Moore, Tracy Hall and Cleve Rankin. Honorary pallbearers will be Kolh Mashburn, Klay Mashburn and Beau Sliger.
The family will receive friends form 12-2 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
