George Wilburn Farmer

George Wilburn Farmer, age 80, of Niota, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at NHC of Athens.

George was a native of Athens and lifelong resident of McMinn County.  He was a son of the late Floyd and Ruby Louise Eaton Farmer.  He was also preceded by his daughter Jeannie Brock and brother Claude Henry Farmer.

George worked as a wrecker driver for A & J Body Shop.

George is survived by

Daughters Kathryn Chrisman of Athens, Samantha Watts of Clearwater, FL, and Alicia Farmer of AK;

Grandchildren Hank Brock (Caitlin) and Stefanie Davis (James) along with several other grandchildren;

6 Great Grandchildren;

Sister Louise Williams;

Several Nieces and Nephews.

Graveside services will be at 3 PM, Friday March 10, 2023, at South Liberty Cemetery.
