Harold “Zeke” Williams, age 80, a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 20, 2024. He retired from BellSouth, worked with C&W Tractor, and was a lifelong farmer. Zeke was a longtime member of South Liberty Church of Christ, where he served as song leader for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Frelon and Mattie Gentry Williams, his loving wife of 53 years: Joyce Marie Cline Williams, and brothers: Francis Williams and F.C. Williams.
Zeke is survived by his daughters: Teresa (Bill) Crawford, Shannon (Marc) Swafford, son: Zeke (Lisa) Williams, brother: Bob Williams (Jackie), sister-in-law: Virginia Burton, grandchildren: Jessica Pretzer, Alysia Carter, Cody Williams, Jerry Lynn Keeling, Jr, Justin Crawford, and Trent Swafford, 12 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Ziegler Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with Minister Joe Guy officiating.
Friends and family will meet at South Liberty Church of Christ at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 26, 2024, with interment to follow at 11:30 AM at South Liberty Cemetery.
Cody Williams, Trent Swafford, Jerry Lynn Keeling, Jr, Dustin Carter, Justin Crawford, Andrew Pretzer, Tracy Bohannon, and Chase Farrar will serve as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kyler Keeling, Collin Swafford, and Elliott Carter.
