Harrison Frank Niemann

Harrison Frank Niemann, age 88, of Athens, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at NHC of Athens.

Harrison was a native of Liberty NY, and former resident of Daytona Beach, FL before moving to Athens 4 years ago.  He was the son of the late Charles Frank and Martha Cross Niemann.  He was also preceded in death by brothers Donald Niemann, Norman Niemann and William Niemann, and grandsons Patrick Calkin, Jr., and Travis Calkin. 

Harrison served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.  He was formerly employed with Agway Petroleum as a plant manager.

Some of Harrison’s hobbies included remote control airplanes, fishing and he thoroughly enjoyed video gaming.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years Mary Semonite Niemann of Athens;

Daughter Leah Millsaps (Gary) of Athens;

Son Frank Niemann (Suzanne) of Bay Shore, NY;

Grandchildren Jessika Duneman (Cal) of Cody, WY, Christopher Niemann of Bay Shore, NY, Kyle Niemann and fiancé Amanda of Bay Shore, NY, and Lauren Niemann of Worcester, MA;

Sisters Edith Van Loan of Elgin, SC, Ardith Gorr of Jeffersonville, NY, Marjorie Gorton (Warren) of Jeffersonville, NY, Darlene Rankin (George) of PA, and Lillian Boyle of Mount Joy, PA;

Brother Robert Niemann (Sharon) of Hudson, FL;

Sisters-In-Law Lorraine Niemann of Liberty, NY and Susan Niemann of Youngsville, NY.
