Herold "Country" Reed Melton

Herold “Country” Reed Melton, age 45, of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.  

Herold is preceded by his mother: Helen Allene Bryant Melton, maternal grandparents: Reed and Ersa Bryant, and paternal grandparents: Gibb Melton and Pearl Melton Watts.

He is survived by his father and stepmother: Eugene and Brooxie Melton of Athens, daughter: Ophelia Allene Melton of Athens, sister: Lora Melton of Athens, brother: Mark Melton of Maryville, girlfriend and mother of his daughter: Rebecca Barker of Calhoun, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Ziegler Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 PM.
