Jacque Lerae Mills

Jacque Lerae Mills, age 52, native of Kingman, Arizona and a five-year resident of Athens, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025. She was free-spirited and lived life to the fullest. Jacque enjoyed traveling, hiking, and riding motorcycles.

She was preceded in death by a sister: Allison Lackey Yeary, and a brother: William “Billy” Howard Hazlett, Jr.

Jacque is survived by her mother: Sandra Kay Lecki, stepfather: Richard Lecki “Daddy Rick”, husband: Steve Anthony Mills, sisters: Sheila Hazlett and Vickie Hazlett-Grant, brothers: Jimmie Daniel “Dan” Lackey (Regina) and Robert Joseph Hazlett (Charlene), father-in-law: Robert Mills (Kathy), sister-in-law: Tony Honeycutt and her daughter, Dara, nieces and nephews: Corey Lackey, Caitlyn Lackey, Collin Lackey, Christyn Lackey, Tiara White (Tyler), Robert Mills (Allison), Peyton Mills, and Zac Mills, (along with many other step-nieces and nephews), and her special friends: Carrise Rice (Tracy), Brianna Rice, and Mark Wood.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM with a funeral service at 3:00 PM at Ziegler Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens.

Steve Mills, Dan Lackey, Mark Wood, and Dean Mueller will serve as pallbearers.
