James “Junior” Arnold, 90, a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, entered the presence of the Lord on June 20, 2023. He was a member of Rogers Creek Baptist Church. Junior was retired from Athens Furniture Company after 40 years of service, and an avid fox hunter for many years.
He was the son of the late James (Jim) and Daisy Carpenter Arnold. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Jo Brown Arnold, brother: Jewell Arnold, sisters: Berta Lou Davis, Mary Sue Keaton, Mildred Miller, and Aileen Monroe.
Junior is survived by his daughters: Diane Dunn and Debbie Leonard (David), son: Keith Arnold (Jaclyn), grandsons: Jonathan Hale (Jodi), Chris Leonard (Kacie), Adam Leonard (Krystal), granddaughter: Colbie Arnold, great- grandchildren: Caden Leonard, Korey Leonard, Garrett Hale, Bristol Bohannon, Braylee Bohannon, Emma Leonard, Kyleigh Casadaball, and Matt Courson.
Special thanks are given to the wonderful hospice nurse, Tracy.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Idlewild Cemetery with Reverend Chris Leonard officiating.
Caden Leonard, Jonathan Hale, Korey Leonard, David Leonard, Adam Leonard, and Rick McAlister will serve as pallbearers.
