James “Jim” Stanley Womac, age 80 of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. He was a retired truck driver for Fed Ex.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Peter Alexander and Nellie Vincent Womac, brothers: Raymond Womac, Fraymond Womac, Arlin Womac, and infant brother Charlie Womac, and sisters: Ella Sue Harmon, Ruby Bright, and Dorothy Crisp.
James is survived by his loving wife of 36 years: Becky Shurley Womac, daughters: Donna Stephens (Andy), Teresa Fain, and Sharon Smithey, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and another great grandson on the way, sisters: Betty King and Nina Boyd, and a brother: P.J. Womac.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 12, 2024, at McMinn Memory Gardens with Brother Glen Standridge officiating.
